QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT

On August 8 th 1942 quit India resolution was adopted by the congress leaders, Gandhiji gave the slogan ‘do or die’ many leaders asked the British to quit India immediately on the next day many leaders were arrested by the British government including Gandhiji. Later the movement was spread to various parts of the country British could not take any proper actions and the jail was filled with many prisoners.
