APPRECIATION FEST

The school believe in holistic development of the students to encourage and motivate the young talented students. Appreciation fest was held to award the winners in different area of discipline in presence of director Dr.B.S.Naveen Somanna.

UTSAV – 2017, Cultural Fest

Celebrated 11th year Cultural Bonanza UTSAV 2017 on 27th and 28th December in the school premises. It was presided by Sri. V Somanna, Former Minister & MLC .
The guest was escorted by the school prefects, followed by band troop. Cultural fest commenced with ceremonial lighting of the lamp and chanting solemn mantras. A grand audience and other distinguished invitees witness the spectacle.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Children’s day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversery of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the 1st Prime minister of independent India. who was fondly called as Cha Cha Nehru.

Children’s were engaged with mind blowing magic show and frenzic cultural events.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY- 2017-18

Environment is everything that encircles us. The air, the water, the earth, the greenery which is the life supporting system. We are very closely associated with it and we cannot imagine our lives without its support. So, it is the bond and duty of each one of us to protect and safeguard the environment with the intension of creating an awareness and to make the students more responsible to protect and conserve the environment the environment day is celebrated.

It was a bright and sunny morning accompanied by a cool breeze which whispered and made us feel the presence of mother nature.

 

The stage was set, the students assembled with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement to make the celebration a meaningful one. The dignitaries who presided over were Smt.Rekha Naveen, The Secretary, VSS International School, Smt. Ishrath Jabeen, Principal, VSS International School and Smt.Damayanthi, The Vice Principal, VSS International School. The celebration began with an address by the Principal madam. She enlightened the students about their responsibilities to safeguard the environment.

Her speech was followed by a colourful programme. The programme included songs sung in praise of mother nature, contemporary dance based on the theme Panchabhootha’s. The dance conveyed the importance of the Panchabhootha’s as a support to the whole world of living things.

The cultural programme also included a skit highlighting Gandhiji’s quote “Nature has given plenty for man’s need but not for man’s greed”.

A folk dance was staged to portray the importance of mother earth in all our lives later the students of green [emerald] house were taken on a rally and they marched in the streets of Nagadevanahalli shouting slogans, holding placards spreading the message to stop pollution & to pave the way for a greener and healthier environment “The programme was organised very thoughtfully to create awareness and also to give it a blend of Indian culture which is the best way to reach the hearts of people.

NATIONAL YOGA DAY

“Inhale the future, exhale the past”. International yoga day was celebrated on 21st June. All the students actively participated in all the events. There was a demo, meditation and dance. It was beneficial for all the students and staff with a motivation to learn yoga.

ONE DAY TRIP TO WONDERLA

Wonderla trip was organised for the classes on 16.8.2017. Had lot of fun & enjoyed all the exciting rides with peers. Rollicking fun filled day out.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of determination, perspiration and inspiration.

The much awaited National sports day was held on Tuesday 29th August. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the special guest of the day. Inter house events athletics and group events like running race, long jump throw ball & volley ball were held, the jubiliants were awarded with medals and certificates & the programme concluded with an impressive march past by the student.
